"Psalmists and minstrels are charged with announcing the sound of the coming of the Lord. There is a sound that must be released!"
A Detroit native, Stephanie M. Woodson was born into a musically gifted family where the mantle of worship was identified on her life at a very young age. This gift of music was first cultivated through years of instrumental lessons. At 6 years old Stephanie first started learning how to play the drums and piano and shortly after, started playing the guitar and French horn. She attended Cass Tech High School in Detroit, MI where she majored in Music Performance. The time spent in intense training at Cass Tech built a discipline in her that led her to learn how to play several other instruments. All the while, in church, Stephanie was being exposed to the culture of worship, where she led as a youth praise team leader until graduation. Stephanie later attended Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she majored in Music Education. It was at ORU, while touring the country with the gospel group Souls A'fire, where she realized her true passion and calling for ministry. She remained in Tulsa, OK for several years serving and traveling with different ministries as a Music Director, worship leader, and servant of the Lord. She also attended Rhema Bible College in Broken Arrow, Ok where she studied Pastoral ministry. Stephanie moved back home to Detroit in 2014 and taught music lessons while continuing to emerge as a new Christian artist and young leader in various circles. She later attended Kairos Ministerial Institute, and was ordained as a Pastor in June 2018.
Stephanie believes that true psalmists and minstrels are born of a prophetic, Davidic mantle that seeks to restore the culture of worship to the Kingdom. Her music projects prophetic lyrics and sounds that provoke healing, deliverance, reconciliation, and restoration to the people of God and to the lost. She believes that above all else, ministers should strive to walk worthy of the call that we have been chosen for. That our hearts desire should be for us to be pure vessels of honor unto the Lord. By God’s grace, she released her debut single, "Save Me", in May of 2018, and in December of 2021, released the Ep “Sounds of the Wilderness” which reached #8 on Christian music charts and has continued to impact the lives of many. Stephanie’s gift has made room for her on platforms both large and small, including but not limited to appearances on The Word Network, Impact Television Network, and a host of other stages and conferences.
